Global quality system sets foundation for worldwide customer satisfaction
San Diego, California, March 4, 2005 — Peregrine Semiconductor Corporation, a leading supplier of high-performance RF CMOS and mixed-signal communications ICs, today announced that it has achieved AS-9100 Quality Management System Standards certification, in addition to the ISO-9001:2000 accreditation, for the design and manufacture of RF ICs in its two San Diego, CA facilities and the wafer fabrication facility in Sydney, Australia.
Peregrine Semiconductor was granted the Certificate of Registration by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA, Inc., Houston, TX), a leading quality system registrar in North America, for both design and manufacture of semiconductor products. AS-9100 certification addresses the strict quality system requirements of the aerospace industry, where Peregrine competes readily for high-profile customers. The company’s design and test facilities in San Diego, CA, first gained the ISO-9001 registration in 2001. Upon acquisition of the ISO-9001:1994 registered wafer fabrication facility in 2000, the company began its task to merge quality management systems and bolster its international quality assurance to compete in a global marketplace. As a result of these activities, the Company received its newest quality system certifications.
“We are very pleased with this recognition, as Peregrine is committed to continually improve upon its quality management system to create an organizational environment that will meet the highest level of quality and reliability standards which culminates in customer satisfaction,” stated Jim Cable, Peregrine’s CEO and president. “The employees of Peregrine make a commitment to each other, our customers and our suppliers that we will compete successfully in all chosen markets, by utilizing the principles of continuous quality improvement to enhance the employment security of all,” he added.
